Papua New Guinea is preparing to roll out the red carpet for the Pope's arrival on Friday night.
As part of an 11-day, multi-country papal trip, the Pope will visit the PNG capital Port Moresby and Vanimo from September 6th to 9th.
Already, more than 37 thousand people have registered to attend Mass and there's a major focus on giving unemployed youth hope.
Chairman of the Organising committee, Bishop Rozario Menezes, told RNZ Pacific's Eleisha Foon, the Pope is expected to meet PNG's Prime Minister James Marape, thousands of street children, Bishops and Priests as well as Pacific leaders.
