Mihingarangi Forbes on crowning of new Māori monarch

Thousands gathered across Turangawaewae Marae and the Waikato River to farewell Kiingi Tuheitia before he was finally laid to rest on Taupiri maunga. His daughter Kuini Nga Wai Hono I Te Po was crowned as the new Māori Queen, making her the eighth Māori monarch.
